Product Description
Calisay is a herb-based Spanish liqueur, whose main constituent is the bark of the Calisaya tree, a species of chinchona bark - in other words, quinine. The base spirit(brandy) is steeped with the quinine and other herbs including cinnamon, sweetened and then aged in oak casks before bottling. As well as for drinks (and neat as a digestive liqueur), the Spanish also use it in baking, apparently.

Beautiful warming sweet herby whisk-ish liqueur. Lovely with an ice cube or on its own with a coffee. It's just lovely.
