Tasting Notes

Tasting Notes

  • Producer's Notes

    • Named after the hill situated behind it, this distillery was the first to be deliberately sited to take advantage of railway transport. This example is creamy and liqueur-like. A generous dollop of Benedictine in a glass of American Cream Soda. With water added it was separately floral and spicy. But the taste was classy. Nicely balanced, sweet and smooth, delicately smoky. Chocolate, orange, caramel and with real finesse. A sophisticated classic whisky.
