Product Description
Formerly a travel retail exclusive, the popularity of the Triple Wood has led to it being launched into the general market. The whisky starts off maturing in regular bourbon casks, before being moved to Laphroaig's bespoke quarter casks for a time. The whisky is then finished in oloroso sherry casks to gently sand off any remaining sharp edges.

I bought this as a present for my other half who likes Laphroaig whisky. I try to buy a different single malt whisky every year for him for Christmas. This year we had a big anniversary so I bought him The Triple Cask which has gone down very well. I’m not a whisky drinker but I do like a Laphroaig now and again and I must admit I liked this one too. I now have to start looking for another (within my price range) for Christmas.
One of the few Laphroaig offerings that I find “just ok”. Nothing stands out from the triple wood to bring it to the level of the other offerings. Perhaps I picked up a bottle that was a little off, but I really appreciate the Laphroaig 10, I love the PX Cask and enjoy the Lore. Just ok.
Soft and round on the palate with an unexpected ease to enjoy. Best not to compare it with an iron fist in a velvet glove. This is a tasty dram you can enjoy half a bottle at one sitting so beware!
A more mellow Laphroaig than normal, with no roughness due to the sherry cask finish.
Very nice. Exactly what a complex scotch should taste like.
