Benriach 1977 / 34 Year Old / Pedro Ximenez Sherry Finish

A 1977 vintage whisky from Benriach, part of their 2011 Limited Release range, the 8th that they've done. Distilled the year before the distiller was taken over by Seagrams and matured for 34 years, including a period of time finishing in a Pedro Ximenez sherry cask. The finish has added a nice bit of a sherry edge, but without overpowering the flavours from the initial maturation to give a great fruit and nut combination.
