Nose - undiluted - initial spirity nature subsides; fleeting green fruit, creamy, developing into madeira cake. Smoke is subtle. Taste - undiluted - initially spirity, then sweetening and creamy. After a couple of seconds, a waft of peat smoke and green pepper. Finish quite short and gingery. Nose - diluted - sweet notes reduced. Brings back some of the green fruit and smoke. Taste - diluted - Again, water reduces sweetness and heightens the green pepper and smoke. Gingery heat on the finish.
