A cask strength of Arran's excellent entry level 12 year old whisky. Spicy with the kick that cask strength whisky gives.

One of the best cask strength expressions of all single malts I have experienced thus far. Vibrant and fruity, which is typical of The Arran, with sherry and wood-spice expressions. Full bodied and decidedly intense dram, can be drunk with or without water, depending on your approach. Certainly good value, and inarguably very decent dram.

Just picked this up and LOVE it so far. That classic Arran character, very lively and fruity, but with the nice richness of sherry. Great and full strength, even better with a bit of water. Loads of flavour; sweet, rich, and spicy. Everything I look for in a whisky.

Now don't get me wrong, I like this stuff, bought a bottle, drank it, enjoyed it. But like some other whiskies (Talisker this means you) I don't believe that this extra strength version is better than the standard whisky. They're fun to try ok, but the regular Arran single malt is a joy.

This is a great whisky, especially at this price. Lots of spicy sherry notes and a long finish. Great with some added water.
