Blended Grain Scotch Whisky
Compass Box
Along with Compass Box's Last Vatted Malt whisky this is a tribute to the days before the 2009 Scotch Whisky regulations were enacted - the final day being November 22nd 2011, the release date of these whiskies. From that day whiskies such as this have to be called Blended Grain Scotch Whisky, rather than Vatted Grains as they were known before, and this is Compass Box's last bottling named in the old style - a mix of 42yo Invergordon, 29yo Carsebridge, 20yo Port Dundas and 14yo Cameron Bridge. Just 297 bottles of this were released. MAXIMUM 1 BOTTLE PER CUSTOMER

Tasting Notes:
Tasting Notes by Dominic Roskrow for Whisky Advocate
Bottled as London's Big Ben began to strike midnight on the day the the word 'vatted' was outlawed in the Scotch whisky terminology, this is a mix of grains from different distilleries and does the campaign for more Scotch grain whisky no harm at all. Gossamer soft and smooth with a honey heart and milk chocolate, vanilla, and the odd prod of spice, it's a cushion of a whisky. Luxurious, indulgent, and well made. 87 Points
