This is delicious, complex, smooth stuff. Joins my other favorites: Bunnahabhain 25, Signatory's Glenglassaugh 32, Highland Park 18, Balvenie 21 Portwood (and others!). On the nose? Sweet pastry, fruity ... and is that vanilla? Upon tasting I'm hit first by smoky, sweet, and chewy. But that morphs into a kind of hot-chocolatey or mocha malt goodness, followed by a mild peppery zing. The finish is sweeter, less peppery, earthier. Wish it lasted a tad longer.
