A 28 year old whisky from cult closed distillery Port Ellen, bottled by Douglas Laing as part of their Platinum Selection series. Distilled in March of 1983, months before the distillery was mothballed, this is as young as Port Ellen gets - at 28 years old that isn't all that young and shows how long aging and sherry casks make for a impressive whiskies from this distillery.
