Thick and quite sticky as it's poured...
Nose: Sweet and spicy but with an underlying woody bitterness. Orange peel, honeysuckle, sandalwood, hedgerows, a herbalists shop (with the windows closed in summer)
Taste: Oily and fragrant - like drinking the non-soapy flavours of posh hand soap.
Finish: Bitter but with a sweet floral edge, like glazed violets.
This is one that needs something to take the edge off - a cube of ice, some time in the freezer, a splash of soda, a topping off with prosecco... It'd also work well as the base of a cocktail, adding an apothecary's shop of herbal flavours, elegant sweetness and a bitter backbone.
