An atypical DP from a very challenging vintage. Both this DP and Bollinger 2003 display the over-ripeness of an extremely hot summer. This is not necessarily a negative as both these wines are extremely unique and characterful. Parker has noted that the 03 DP could become a legendary wine in 20 years and I cannot disagree. A lot of the complexity of this wine is yet to be realised, but when it does... WOW!!!!
