Tasting Notes by Gavin D Smith for Whisky Advocate
Previously offered as a 12 year old, it now has an extra three years of secondary maturation, after a decade in ex-bourbon casks. The 'finishing' casks are ex-sauternes barriques. Lemonade, icing sugar, vanilla, nougat, and maple on the nose. Progressively sweeter. Rich and sweet on the palate, notably fruity, with spicy orange and brittle toffee. Medium length finish, with milk chocolate-coated ginger and lingering toffee. 88 Points

Really is a joy to sip this. Best bottle for the 50 pounds you will find. Ok so it's not from a "quirky" distillery but the quality of this dram is not to be underestimated. Lingering vanilla and toffee notes...smooth as liquid fudge...you have to try this. I'm bulk buying!

Beautiful whisky, silky and buttery mouth feel, vinilla, toffee and citrus fruits. Just stunning, don't think about it just buy it.

Beautiful. Nothing sulphured about this. Maybe some will say they agree with the Whisky Bible but for me this is what different cask finishing is all about - combinations that work magically together. Another great whisky from Glenmorangie.
