On the nose it has pure fresh cut lemon - enough so that I asked John McCarthy, the Adnams distiller, whether he'd used any more of the lemons than the traditional zest. He hadn't, but the nose still managed to be full of whole lemon juiciness. To taste it was syrupy and oily, with buttery lemon and some zesty bitterness. Well balanced and not too sweet.
