The original 'extra-old' cognac, first bottled in 1870 by Maurice Hennessy for family and friends. Darker and much more complex than the VSOP, with appealing leather and tobacco notes and a touch of spice - a great cigar cognac. Due to low supplies, this item is MAXIMUM 1 BOTTLE PER CUSTOMER.
Aroma: The first wave, rich in dried fruit aromas such as prunes or dried figs overcomes you. The aromas evolve to a more dense notes of chocolate & black pepper, mellowed by cinnamon, clove & cardamom spices.
Taste: Very balanced on the palate, X.O confirms the aromas discovered by scent: dried fruit & chocolate. Elegant & robust, it reveals balance, roundness and harmony among aromas underlined by the strength of peppery notes & vegetable fragrances from the oak. A lovely long after taste is enrobed in velvet, conferring the last sweet notes of cinnamon & vanilla.
The Style of X.O: A powerful cognac, harmonious elegant. Masculine & generous due to its rich & spicy aromas, with structured nuances, dominated by the richness of the oak & black pepper aromas.

Most certainly one of the best cognacs around in this price range. Far better than Courvoisier XO, Martel Cordon Bleu & Remy XO. Probably even slightly better than the more expensive Martel XO.
A truly wonderful cognac, for connoisseurs and cognac newbies alike. Personally, I prefer it to Paradis - it seems to have a much more robust and complex flavour-array.

Fantastic drink I enjoyed several with the chums,I'm just in the middle of another purchase of this fine product. Chaps there is nothing quite like a fine cigar and a Hennessy xo at the end of a long hard day
after working your fingers to the bone. As a connoisseur I enjoy the finer things in life this drink being one of them, oh yes an my beautiful wife

This is incredible. Along with Paul Beau Hors D'age and Remy Martin XO Premier Cru Cognac - my favourite.

Your price is fantastic. I just visited the Henessey distillery in Cognac and paid a lot more for a bottle of XO in the shop. After a few sample glasses at the end of the tour I still think it was good value. The aroma in the ageing room is just wonderful.

the aroma by its self could satisfy, the favor is richness that cascades across your tongue..in one word.... marvelous

This stuff is good. It has a sweet aftertaste tempting you to go back for more. Best sipping experience you'll ever have for a spirit in this price range.I can't comment on the other XOs because I could never justify spending £100 on something that might not be as good, so I went for Hennessy every time because that taste is engraved into your brain and you want nothing else.

An absolutely beautiful cognac. You can smell the quality as soon as you open the bottle. It may be a bit more expensive than other brands, but, you get what you pay for. Fantastic.

Tried several XO's now and keep returningto the Hennessy, absolutely exquisite.

Outstanding cognac and in my opinion superior to the Hine Antique XO, which is slightly more expensive. I also prefer it to the Hennessy Paradis which is usually around £300. Fantastic price at thewhiskyexchange.com and arrived within two days. Will definitely be bought again and definitely form here.

Our table had a bottle at a wedding celebration dinner in Guangzhou, China Monday night. Simply wonderful! A great ending to a beautiful celebration. However not as beautiful as the bride.

To the above post: Maybe you have never had a congac this superior and that's why you mention a flaw of not knowing what you speak of.

Unfortunately Hennessy looses some ground vs other big producers. But others also have flawes-like Martell Noblige.

Sampled this in a flight of XO Cognacs, including those from all four major producers, and liked this one the least. Totally outclassed by Martell's XO.

Spectacular; probably the best sub £100 Cognac available. Only had one at my brother's house - have wanted a bottle ever since!
