A devilish twist on Jim Beam's regular bourbon, blending their 6 year old whiskey with spirit extracted from the wood of the cask itself, where it's soaked in over the years of maturation. This gives us a robust and hefty bourbon with a nice added chunk of woody richness.
The Essence: A distinctly bold bourbon with rich flavor unleashed from deep inside the barrel wood.
The Taste: Full bodied with intense oak and vanilla notes.
The Finish: Long, smooth, with a hint of sweetness.

In the shopping center I seen this on sale, glancing between it and a bottle of Jack Daniel's White Rabbit Saloon which is at 43%, also o sale. Eventually the price, the strength difference and he fact that this is not a STANDARD bottle with an extra 3% made up my mind. Quite simply, it puts the standard bottle to shame, as it does Jack Daniel's. It is sweet and has extra oak, unique and I will buy it again.

Good whiskey. I'm drinking some now, and eating strong rich Christmas cake. Fantastic together.
I'm split at the moment between island scotch for the complexity and bourbon for the sheer fun of it. I like all the JB whiskies and this is definitely up there. I'll probably go back to JB Black or Makers Mark though.

My mother gave me a bottle of this for Xmas. And taste wise, it's a big improvement over the standard JB. Not overly complex but that huge long finish more than makes up for it. Thank you Mother !

One to sip over ice for sure at a price that beats many of the £50 bottles hands down - I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys true Bourbon flavor

Very good stuff. Super smooth on entry with a nice vanilla-y almost maple oak taste that develops in the mouth. Has a bit of an alcohol bite to it on the finish but then again, it is 90 proof. I liked it with a touch of water added. But I think oeverall the Double Aged 8yr Jim Beam Black is a better choice for sipping because it's smoother and yet still very rich in flavor.

I bought a bottle of this in Las Vegas last autumn and am so happy to finally see it available over here. I love this stuff, the extra oakiness provided by the 'devil's cut' adds a depth of flavour and sweetness that I think is just amazing.
