This Port-finished Welsh single malt was originally bottled only for the French market, but thanks to its popularity it has now become a fixture in the distillery's standard range.

Nose: Milky coffee, dark chocolate and plums
Palate: Sweet and spicy, with black pepper, cream, plum jam and brown sugar.
Finish: More jam and sugared raisins.

Picked up a bottle of this at a recent tour of the distillery. The port flavour is strong and no doubt not to everyone's taste as it does rather smother the whisky. However if you think of this as a flavoured whisky then it really works. Have to say that I love it; very drinkable with a lovely warming kick.
