Customer Reviews
@Mr_Claw: We have done a bit of research on this one, as it was something that confused us as well. Unfortunately, we couldn't find anything conculsive, which is why we've neglected to mention the type of still in the description. It is very likely that 'Albion' refers to the Estate rather than the which still was used.
...I realise, btw, that that was an absurdly nerdy question.
I'm confused. The Albion still is a copper pot; the wooden double pot Port Mourant still was, I believe, situated at the Albion estate. However, the labels on these Velier Albions say ‘distilled in a wooden continuous still’ (the Enmore still). Does this mean that Velier have labelled the rum wrong? Or is it that the name is taken from the providence of the sugar used (ie - it's called Albion because the molasses used was from sugar from the Albion estate)
We're glad you like them. We've been trying to source these for some time and actually only got hold of them just over a month ago. We have a few Velier rums hitting the shelves inculding a few Caroni and also some Port Mourant, Enmore, and Blairmont. Just drop us an email if you're interested in a full list.
When the TWE start getting Velier rums?! I LOVE the Velier bottings and have been waxing-lyrical to TWE staff about them for some time... Good work! Albion in particular is excellent.
