A Colombian rum sourced and selected by the Riascos. blended from spirit matured for between 12 and 21 years in white oak. We are also reliably informed that it's pronounced 'etch-ee-seh-rah' and the name means 'Enchantress' in Spanish.
Flavour: deep woodiness with characterful notes of things Colombian; a heady scent of toffee and orange peel on the nose followed by a bold burst of flavour on the palate with distinctive notes of tobacco and roasted coffee. Its ending is crisp and smooth.

A remarkably tasty rum, strong fruit and caramel tones with a clean perky finish. The bottle is even better looking in real life, smartens up any shelf.

Been working my way through recommendations from Whisky Exchange staff for quite a while now. This is an excellent sipping rum with just a cube of ice. Orangy, smokey aroma with a fruity hit on the palate followed by a hint of coffee and toffee. Love this. Up there with El Dorado 12yr, Diplomatico Grand Reserva and Abuelo 12yr easily...not quite up to Ron Zacapa 23 standard though.
