A real rarity - an independently bottled cask strength 1974 vintage whisky from Glenlivet distillery, aged for 26 years and bottled just after the turn of the millennium. This whisky appears to have been only very lightly filtered before bottling. As such, we would advise filtering this whisky through an (unbleached) coffee filter prior to consumption to remove any traces of sediment.

This is an underpriced whisky of exceptional quality. However, I don't know where the baloney came from that you should run it through a coffee filter before consumption. Hogwash! I just opened a bottle this evening and it was clear as a bell, and a truly delightful beverage. Whatever your culture of origin, I'm confident you will find this Glenlivet/Danehill 1974 to be among the best Scotch you've ever tasted!
