After Glendronach's Christmas 2011 UK exclusive 1995 PX Puncheon release flew off our shelves we were rather keen on getting some more. So keen that we ended up buying a whole cask - #4682. Distilled on November 8th 1995 and bottled in March 2013 this is a big, chewy, sherried masterpiece. Fantastic Whisky.

Tasting Notes:
Producer's Notes

Nose: Fantastic depth. Chocolate, toffee and rum-raisins combine with crisp autumn fruits.

Appearance: Rich polished mahogany.

Palate: A robust depth of luscious sherry gives rich, chocolate-fudge zested with orange marmalade. Ripe plums and spiced stewed apples bring a crisp balance in the long, traditional-style finish.

A very nice Glendronach in the typical distillery style. Bought this to keep for a special occasion but couldn't resist the temptation to open and try it. I wasn't disppointed and will have to buy another bottle to replace it. Highly recommended for sherried whisky fans.
