A very interesting release from William Grant & Sons. Auld Alliance has been produced to commemorate the many years of exchange between Scotland and France (commonly known as the Auld Alliance). The drink of the same name is actually a marriage of Highland whisky and Armagnac from Gascony, in south west of France.

Flavour and warmth of this fine blend is something to be witnessed at least once in a life time. The finest blend of both these historic spirits each of which tells its own tale in history have combined to ensure quality and friendship will never be forgotten.
I have been very fortunate to have been living in Dufftown home of Glenfiddich, because of this I was able to purchase several of bottles. This is a very fine blend of whiskey and brandy.I would thoroughly recommend buying a bottle or 2. 1 to drink and savour its unique flavour and the 2nd to add to any collection.
