Product Description
The first product from The London Distillery Company, which was founded with the aim of becoming the capital's first whisky distillery in more than 100 years. It's named after Ralph Dodd, an entrepreneur in the early 19th century who founded a similarly named but ill-fated distillery, and was first produced in early 2013 using a mixture of pot- and vacuum-distilled spirits.

Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes
Tastings Notes by The Whisky Exchange
Nose
Big, welcoming and powerful, with a good whack of juniper and refreshing citrus along with spicy, fragrant cardamom.
Palate
The higher ABV creates a more satisfying texture and mouthfeel and delivers plenty of punchy flavour, with juniper, red fruits and more cardamom and zingy citrus.
Finish
Clean, with juniper, black pepper and spice lingering.
Producer's Notes
This small-batch gin, created by head distiller Andrew MacLeod Smith and founder Darren Rook, uses organic botanicals which include: juniper, angelica, fresh lime peel, bay laurel, cardamom, red raspberry leaf and London honey.
The lion's share of the organic ingredients are distilled in 'Christina', a traditional 140-litre copper alembic, with the more delicate botanicals reserved for the cold vacuum still, 'Little Albion'. The two spirits are then married for several weeks before being bottled and labelled by hand.

Bought as a gift so I haven't tried it, but it arrived promptly and well wrapped.
I shared this as a gift with a long time member of the Craft Gin Club who said it was outstanding - I'm not one to argue!
Best gin I''ve ever had.
