Tasting Notes

  • Tasting Notes by Billy A

    • Nose

      Sweet fruitcake, a hint of balsamic vinegar and some piney notes. Behind that is some vanilla cream, light woody spice and caramel.

    • Palate

      A mix of sweet cream and sour cream, with cinnamon, clove and lots of rich fruit. Damp wood bitterness hides underneath balancing out a touch of simple syrup.

    • Finish

      Tingly woody spice - cinnamon and clove - with a touch of dark cocoa. Some sour oak develops over time along with an icing sugar sweetness.

    • Comment

      A more 'traditional' dram than the port editions, but with much more creaminess than I expected.

  • Producer's Notes

    • On the Eye

      Deep bright brass / gold.

    • On the Nose

      Chocolate ice-cream, citrus, hay, vanilla, rum soaked dried fruits, barley sugar, butter menthol, cinnamon and Christmas cake.

    • On the Palate

      Chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, hay, grass, stewed stone fruits and roasted nuts.

    • The Finish

      Lightly charred nuts and sherry infused dried fruits.
