Littlemill 1988 / 25 Year Old / Pearls of Scotland Cask #134
Product Description

A well-aged, independently bottled whisky from lost distillery Littlemill, not only closed, but also destroyed in a fire. This was distilled in October 1988 and bottled over 25 years later in February 2014 at an easy drinking cask strength of 43.5%. It's bottlings like this that are building Littlemill's reputation, years after they stopped producing spirit.

Agreed, Robert. This has none of the 'poster glue' or fudge-and-only-fudge notes that mar some Littlemill releases. Excellent value for price, and true to the lowland spirit easy to drink and understand for anyone regardless of experience. A wee bit of water may help to open it up a bit despite its low ABV.

I have had many Littlemills over the years as I have always taken the view that Littlemill is a vastly underated Distillery and sadly missed. This release from Gordon & Co is an absolute cracker. Nose has cereal, zesty lemon and vanilla. A delightful taste of vanilla, honey and nutty malt make this rather special. Grab one while you can.
