Gonzalez Byass' 1982 anada Palo Cortado is a rare example of aged vintage sherry. Each year the company excludes some stocks from the traditional solera system and ages them in American oak. This has been released after 30 years of ageing and is elegant, complex and nutty.

Tasting Notes by Michael W.
Nose: Caramel, almost syrup. Very sweet.
Palate: Medium-Dry. Apples and figs.
Finish: Burnt sugar. Ash, slightly barbeque-ish. Medium long.
Colour: Dark amber and bright.
Nose: Elegant, complex and powerful, with fine aromas of nuts, candied orange peel vanilla, snuff and wood.
Palate: The palate is enveloping and velvety, with sensations of nuts and caramel and a long finish.
