The extra aging has made this a very well-rounded single malt. It may become my favorite Speyside whisky.

Nose: Fruity and fragrant. Notes of bourbon and Madeira. Palate: Smooth, fruity, barley sugar, notes of apple and vanilla cream. Body is thin and fragile, it would certainly be spoiled by addition of water. Finish: Medium. Lingering creaminess, warming and now nutty flavors are taking over. Smoke and peat flavors are obviously restrained, making this dram rather light and enjoyable without requiring much attention and patience. Light, aromatic and enjoyable summer dram.
