Nose: Full flavoured nose bulging with a big fruit barley character and oaky traces.
Taste: The barley is big and succulent with a copper tanginess followed by a dry fruity flavour.
Finish: The marrying of peat and non peated malts has given a honey, oak, fruit peat mouth feel and finish. The minimum 8 year old oak passes leaving a vanilla essence and peaty finish.

I've been a member of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society for over 20yrs.
But on my last trip over I had some Locke's 8 & had to hand carry a bottle back. I think it's one of my fav's (smooth with out being
insipid) I've not found it for sale in the U.S. although I know I've seen in the past. Hope to see some more here! Thanks!!! otsh

Received a bottle of Locke's as a gift and had my eyes opened. The smooth subtlety of this whiskey is a revelation. I never want to be without a few bottles of this in the cupboard. Bravo!

A beautiful Irish whiskEy, well worth having in your cabinet, delicious, sweet but not too sweet and inexpensive.

This is the reason why I prefer Irish to Scottish! Milder and more subtle than a 46% non chill filtered(well to me anyway)
