Love it. Tried it first at a lounge after being recommended it by the owner, and haven't gone back since. Best enjoyed on the rocks with an ice ball

Wonderful nose, coconut-vanilla, oak, but then seems to fall flat upon tasting. Overall however, a good blend.

Bottle's design definitely drew me to it, but what's within is the real star! With the youngest whisky being 17 years old, the flavour is amazingly round yet complex. Black Label doesn't even hold a candle to this! Absolutely gorgeous, easy to drink, and with a dash of cold water, simply the best.

Absolutely the best whiskey. I first tried this after being given a bottle as a gift. Since then I have traveled back to Japan to try their other brands. Needless to say on my way back at the duty free my luggage contained 2 more bottles of Hibiki.

I am very pleased to see it is not just me who was attracted at first by the lovely bottle, no way will i be recycling this one. The humourless old geezer who own's my nearest select whisky shop was not impressed by me saying this was what got my attention. A fine drink and a shot is worth taking time over.

Bought this in Osaka Duty Free and have not regretted it.First up the bottle is a work of art, with handmade paper and stunning calligraphy.I don't know that much about whiskies - but I rank this equal writh my other favourite Glenmorangie. You only need a small dram to be satisfied - it's a whiskey to savour, not to drink all night!

As we say in the West Midlands, "it's a real boster". A bl***y good dram. Sampling what I intend to be the first of many more bottles.

The only blended I suppose to be at level of a good single malt.Sweet and smooth. With a long honeyfully taste.

While I admit I dont know much about liquor. I am in the company of those that do often. I was given a bottle of this as gift and is the first liquor I actively search for and buy by name now. I recommend this highly to those experienced and not. I am often fed high end liquors and this one definitely stands out in the crowd.

Producer's Tasting Notes
Hibiki, which means harmony, is a master blend of carefully selected full-bodied malt and grain whiskies. This multi award winning blend creates a profound aroma with an elegant and mellow woody richness, accompanied by sweet long-lasting citrus flavour.

Tasting Notes by Dave Broom
Nose: Ripe soft and pillow like with hints of smoke and toasty wood. Citrus leaf, cocoa, cooked apricot, ripe banana, hazelnut giving a crunch.
Palate: Toffee sweetness stretches along the palate. Very clean and clear. Sweet with sultana and cherry.
Finish: Long and silky.
Comment: Relaxed and laid back. This is excellent blending.
Score: 8.5 / 10

Tasting notes by Martine Nouet
Nose: Bee wax, polished floor, church bench, candle wax. A tar hint in the back. When aerated, opens up on citrussy notes and barley sugar before a wave of vanilla brings in a sweet brine.
Palate: Smooth, mellow. Velvety. Oak and citrus fruit are intertwined in an elegant two step dance.
Finish: Medium, smooth, hardening up on a more assertive oaky note. Touch of bitter chocolate.
Comments: An elegant and satisfying dram. Well educated, in good quality casks for sure.
Score: 8.25 / 10
