They called the Longrow CV 'heavily peated' as well, when there is virtually no peat in evidence. The 14 year old has much more peat but less than the Islay bruisers and of a diffrent kind - but I just love this whisky.

The label of my bottle says "heavily peated", but it is not nearly as peated as Laphroaig, Lagavulin or Ardbeg. It has a medium peatiness to it like Bowmore 12 yr old or Yoichi 10 yr old, which makes it a very excellent dram! I can highly recommend it.
