Matured in a mixture of sherry and bourbon casks. This range has been around for a few years now and seems to have weathered the storm it caused amongst the faithful when it was initially released.
"A cracker, typical of old (and older style) Speyside. 9/10" Dave Broom, Whisky Magazine MAXIMUM ONE PER PERSON
Nose: Intense rich aroma, with hints of vanilla and passion fruit.
Palate: Soft, rich and spicy with hints of oranges and peat.
Finish: Lingering with hints of wood smoke.
Comment: When the rich Macallan whisky is allowed to spend twenty-one years maturing in the finest oak casks tucked away in the warehouses at Easter Elchies estate, the result is a whisky of exceptional elegance, poise and refinement.

Anxiously waiting to open this bottle at my 40th Birthday in August...my previous bottle was a joy to share and also to savour. I have no doubt this one will also create lasting memories and a lingering finish!

Words cant explain how nice this bottle is, I love it more than the 30 year old, its very smooth and silky it goes down pleasantly.
I love it with red meat, stake & a fine Cuban cigar, I had mine with a COHIBA BEHIKI
