Customer Reviews:
This is surprisingly good, even though it's a blend. Good to drink neat, with ice it may become a bit weak. Very dry, slightly smoky and salty, it's even a nice change from the much more expensive and usually sweeter single malts.

I don't have much experience with straight Ballantine's Finest but I do know it makes a great Scotch & soda drink. For that reason alone it's worth buying.

This is my favourite blend and I have been drinking it for years. The only problem is that it is so hard to find in the UK , that's why I stock up when I go France, I have read that most of this whisky goes for export and that it is very popular in Germany, that,s probably we can't get it here. A smooth pleasant classy Scotch suitable for everyday drinking, puts similar priced blends to shame.

I apologise my last comment, not meant to be arrogant. Further more, I took a second tasting (or 6th, who knows) and found some interesting things: vanilla sweetness, soft peat, fruitiness and even some remains of sherry. There is much more complexity than I thought, reminds me some single malts. And surprisingly, over all balance is almost perfect (and even more surprisingly, no menthol finish). Not bad at all, actually a very high quality whisky.

Smooth and elegant, no coarseness or graniness. Almost a syrupy mouth feel. Quite a complex flavor but very little smoke or peat evident. A little less sweeness and a little more excitement could make this one a winner, but sadly at the end of the day this is just a tad too timid and bland. Not as bland and sweet as Cutty Sark, but the comparison is valid IMO.

For the price, it is a nice, smooth and easy going whisky. Something you can sip everyday without worrying about its price. Been drinking it for the last 6 years.

Being a big fan of Canadian Club I heard that this was similar to CC so I thought I would give it a go. I found out last night that it tastes nothing like CC, ... Suffice to say that I left 2/3 of the bottle at my friend's place at the end of the night..

I feel neutral about this blend (I'm spoiled). It's good with a couple large ice cubes. Has a licorice-like sweetness to it with a bit of smoke, and a melting pot of all the other stuff you'd taste in a whisky. Not too exiting but not bad.
