Learnt to drink rum on ships carrying bananas from Jamaica to Sheerness. Appletons special was what we always got, and I didn't realise what a good start it was...made me very picky about my rums subsequently. Don't mix it, don't add ice, just drink it and revel in the distillers' art
It has the Royal seal of approval
This is a true Rum, a true Champion
I love this rum and I drink neat at room temp with with no ice. It''s very smooth and although I know that there have been complaints that the new "red top" version being too sweet, I haven''t found this to be true.
It is like comparing a Rolls Royce to a Ford it is the top notch of all rums
