Appearance
Clear, coppery amber.

Aroma
Treacle and caramel give way to peach, apricot, overripe banana and tropical fruit - particularly with a splash of water. Faint nut and chocolate aromas.

Taste
Slightly sweet with dry nutty woody notes balance by sweet fruit and creamy milk chocolate.

Aftertaste
Tropical fruit, grilled nuts, bitter cacao and delicately spiced oak.

One of the best rhum agricoles I have tasted and for less than £30 too! A very complex smooth rum and for sipping only. A wonderful addition to your rum collection and this as a bonus helps Haiti's economy which is in need of boost. Can't wait to try the 15 year old at a later date.

Very few people know of Haitian rum, which is a shame because in my opinion they make the best Rum in the world! It is strong but very easy to drink (too easy on a few occasions I must admit). It has an easy going flavour with a slightly sweet finish. Completely disagree with it tasting like a throat sweet though. If you havn't yet tried this excellent and under-rated drink, do yourself a favour and treat yourself to a bottle now!!

Loved this when i was there and now the resent events have taken over, I understand how i would miss it if they couldnt start up again. Easy sweet rum that is a taste of the carabean

I agree with the above comment - initial flavour is like an alcoholic version of an old fashioned throat lozenge. This drink is smooth while challenging and full of character. Highly recommended but individual in its approach....my wife and are converts......

an interesting one this, initially a strong flavour, tamed with an ice cube it is full bodied and smooth. one for whiskey drinkers of those after something a little different. a real grower.
