Appearance
Clear, coppery amber.
Aroma
Treacle and caramel give way to peach, apricot, overripe banana and tropical fruit - particularly with a splash of water. Faint nut and chocolate aromas.
Taste
Slightly sweet with dry nutty woody notes balance by sweet fruit and creamy milk chocolate.
Aftertaste
Tropical fruit, grilled nuts, bitter cacao and delicately spiced oak.

Barbancourt is crafted with the Hands of God.
Say what you want this is a tasty rum. Especially with a Padron anniversary maduro.
Did not know about this rum till I visited Port Au Prince, where it is everywhere. Am very fond of Brugal from the next door island, but this is better ! Many of the big commercial brands are a bit samey ! but this is smooth, smokey with a lovely oak finish. Outstanding:
I bought this on recommendation,usually I buy the much darker rum's, this to it's credit, literally will give you a different perspective on how this was produced and aged,the complexity is outstanding, great mouth feel and length with lots going on,this is a much to be desired rhum,I hope you enjoy it as much as i did,fully recommended.
My favorite rum for the price. The 15 yr old is so delicious. The fragrance reminds me of butterscotch.
