Judges' Comments from The International Cane Spirits Festival 2007
Toffee and floral nose; surprising flavors of fruit and spice, baked cinnamon rolls with maple sugar; keeps building, long lingering finish, very smooth.

Rhum Agricole AKA agricultural rum is made from cane juice rather than molasses. It's different to normal rum and not in such an amazing way. The nose is prickly and full of alcohol. You need to leave it in the glass for 15 mins to be able to smell much else. Then it's spicy, floral and "planty". Oaky flavor. Makes a change but I prefer my rum rich and dark.
