Customer Reviews:
I have to be honest - I thought this was awful. Metallic on the nose, bland on the taste, no after taste worth mentioning. I understand it's a budget single malt, but quality has to amount to something surely.

Shaking off winter with a fine warm scotch.

smooth and very very sweet, yo much to my palate, but worth a taste

Palate (undiluted) Initial sip delivers sweet malt, cereal and honey. Mid-palate you have some unmistakable oak and moderate spices of nutmeg and off-putting thyme? Finish (undiluted) Salted dark chocolate leaves the palate somewhat dry, but kinda like chewing a packet of Nutrasweet. You got some chemical flavor almost.

WHISKEY YES IT IS , I am or was a JW, blue , green and gold drinker as I drink neat. Well I never thought another would pass my lips , and now I must say that I enjoyed this one. Well done Pernod but really Strathisla of Speyside ,I will be a repeat sampler for sure. Enjoyed the whole sip from nose to lips to tongue and throat , a little to also warm the cockles to the toes. Try enjoy but please leave stock for me.

The 12 year-old is fine, but it improves with age. Go for something older.
