I am not a fan of several bottlings in the Famous Grouse product line up, but the 18 year old is an exception! It is a high quality, luxuriant dram of dark red fruits, beautiful sherry and heather too. After all, a blend of Highland Park and Macallan single malts can't be bad and it isn't!

My fave is still the black but this one is also very special. It has a fruitier taste than some grouse with a darker colour , im pretty sure I can taste a little bit of port in there is also a strong twist of Macallan too there which is not a bad thing at all. Its a little harder on the nose than younger whiskeys but in all it's a great bottle at a much better price than other 18 year old blends.

I received my bottle of Famous Grouse 18 Y.O. and now I wish I had ordered two. I'm afraid it won't last long as soon as I get enough courage to open it.

With this Grouse its always the 14th. More than happy to take another shot at the "Grouse". Its not a single but it worth a shot.
