Smooth toasted rye note dominates with touches of honey, oak, pipe tobacco and caramel. Peppery with a hint of honey underneath and a slight touch of oranges as the spice fades, along with a hint of cola. Long and smooth with nice cinnamon and rye notes.

This is wonderful stuff. Previously my experience of Rye was limited to Wild Turkey. On the recommendation of a certain Ms Rachel Maddow I bought a bottle of this. It is wonderful stuff. It makes a perfect "Old Fashioned", a divine "Manhattan" and is wonderful straight up or with a splash of Selzer.

Don't be put off by the cheap looking bottle this stuff is lovely. The perfect level of sweetness and spice. My mouth is watering. lol

my first rye as recommended by Jason Pyle of sourmashmanifesto. even though i've had higher proof in bourbons this feels to me quite hot in the mouth due to the high rye i guess. not a negative point though. very rich in flavour and has a lovely liquorice type after taste thing going on. terrific value. great service by TWE as always.

And absolute sublime whiskey for its price. Has a taste and a burn that's incrediably moreish. Rye is definitely the way forward. Same great service from The Whsky Exchange too...

Great whisky!, If you love BIG whiskies with demanding and complex flavours like that of Islay malts this could be a great alternative, sweet, spicy and smooth, just a great rye whisky.

Fabulous. The first Rye I've purchased and for anyone that's into their bourbon I can highly recommend it. Unbelievably good and one that I'll always have on the shelf from now on.
