How true the former coment by H. Dross! I also remeber this sherry-smoky perfection of the HP 12y0 in the 90s. Now it is kinda bourbon based, sweety "speysider" than an island smoky dram for brave sailors!

In the early 1990s Highland Park 12 year old came in this stubby bottle, remembering a little bit a milk bottle. It was more sherried and more smoky than the present bottling of Highland Park 12 years old nowadays is. Sorry to say: over the last 20 years, Highland Park 12 yo. became a faint shadow of this old, delicous bottling... This adorable bottle is the real thing!
