Also known as Braeval, Braes of Glenlivet was constructed in southern Speyside (near Glenlivet) in 1974 and closed in 2002, after being bought from Chivas / Seagram by Pernod Ricard. No official bottlings were released during it's lifetime, but a lot of malt was made - the number of stills went from two to eight in the first five years of production and the production volume was nearly four million litres.
