Not usually a malt whiskey buff but this was very very nice. Will definitely try it again. Bought for me as a Christmas pressie by a friend. Posted By: Stephen Moeller

This is a very interesting whisky. The port finish is a very subtle effect and personally I'd have liked a little more. Having said that, this definitely does (as mentioned above) have complexity and depth, and also a vibrant burst of flavour and long finish. Personally I prefer the more-rounded flavour of the Dalwhinnie Distiller's Edition, but this makes a great addition to the few whiskies I have as it's a more unusual whisky. Posted By: Will Brambley

Superb. With all the subtle floral and honey notes of the 12 YO but with a burst of plum and raisin on the finish. Light but elegant and complex; someone who had never tried it before said "This is so soft and subtle you could drink it happily with your smoked fish and scrambled egg breakfast!" 90/100

Lots of distilleries bring out 'special edition' finishes to disguise poor house malts. Not so with this one - the gentle Port Wood enhances an already superb whisky. This is a top notch malt but beware it is very drinkable! Posted By: trebor

Cragganmore

Cragganmore Distillery

Cragganmore was founded in Ballindalloch, Speyside, in 1869 and was the first distillery to take advantage of the railway system for transportation, with its own railway siding on the Strathspey route.  The distillery was designed by Charles Cree Doig and the stone used came from the local hill 'Craggan Mor' (meaning 'big rock') which gave the new distillery its name.

Cragganmore has a complex fruity, toffeed style, being mostly from refill sherry casks.  It has been the Speyside representative in Diageo's Classic Malts range since 1987.
