Talisker 1993 / Distillers Edition
70cl / 45.8%
Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling
Like all Classic Malt Distillers Editions, this Talisker has been double-matured in a second cask after the original maturation period (in this case in Amoroso Sherry casks). The experience is older, sweeter and richer than the regular bottlings. This Edition has a very special bitter-sweet harmony where the peat softens on the palate to a rich, sweet, juicy fruit finish.

Customer Reviews:
Absolute beauty, nice gentle smoke, salt, marine stuff. Go get it!

One of my all time favourites. Packs the usual Talisker flavour punch, only giving way to a sweet succulent long fruity finish rather than the usual pepper. Still manages spices and pepper, but with a more sweet edge. Delicious!

I must admit, while only having tried this once, I was a little underwhelmed by it. It's a more-balanced version of a Talisker, though still with a decent wallop of smokeyness, and is definitely a nice whisky. However it was somehow lacking the 'wow-factor' I was expecting. Given the comments above this probably deserves a second try, as it may have been that I was expecting too much from this.

This was bought for me as a christmas present;I normally dont touch whiskey but opened it out of politeness;I am now a totall convert!!!!The creamy, smooth, slightly sweet taste with a hint of cigar taste to it is a dream.

Not for the faint of heart, but truly rewarding over time. This was a well-chosen Christmas gift from my wife. It initially strikes the palate hard with heavy peatiness and pepper, but goes down warm and comforting. A very masculine dram that eventually becomes as familiar as a favorite pair of slippers.
