I have a single, unopened bottle that was given to my father in the 1960s. The Liquor Board of Ontario's registration sticker is still sealing the cork to the bottle, and the labelling is unworn. The bottle belonged to my father and I haven't had the heart to open it, so for over 20 years it's sat on a bookshelf of classic literature. I enjoy looking at it.

the best whisky of all

I get my stock from Venezuela whenever someone comes to visit, and need to agree the darker balless bottles found now (Superior) have a harsher taste than the old style bottles. I have both models and have spent endless nights comparing the flavor.

However I agree with everyone else it is an amazing blend. I recently traveled to Angola and was there with a guy who claimed not to like whiskey at all, had him try the stuff as they had a bottle in the hotel, needless to say we drank the whole thing and now this guy is always in the hunt for a bottle.

For those saying it is 152 years old, that is not the age of the whiskey or anything, Old Parr was an Englishman (yes not even Scotish) that is said to have lived to the age of 152 years, in London, the whiskey takes its name from this guy.
However I agree with everyone else it is an amazing blend.

An amazing de luxe blend, full and robust and silky in character. Got a bottle from Hongkong several years ago and have been looking for it ever since. Beautifully layered with gentle smoke and a sweetness which is just right. I am still looking for it...

Picked up a litre bottle in Guam, Mariana Ilands. Will not share this "Elixer of Life" with anyone while I savour its delights miserly. Reminds me of Home. Ex patriot

if the label said scotch whiskey it's fake, because we only make whisky in scotland.

Have had a bottle that belonged to my father (would be 92 if alive). Recall he received it as a gift from a patient. He never opened it, claiming to be saving it for a very special occasion. The label states "Real Antique and Rare Old" Scotch Whiskey and "Aged 152 years" on label. When father passed, the family opened the bottle and consumed most of it in his honor. There may be far better scotch, but none would taste as memorable.

I found an old bottle of Old Parr in my grandfathers (deceased) footlocker. It must be at least from the 1960's. I'm just estimating the age by comparing it to other liquor bottles that the bottle and labeling are in similar condition. Maybe 1970's. Just guessing but got about 1/2 a bottle left. good stuff
