This is an excellent dram and I love the sherry influence but the finish is a bit oaky and spicy for my taste. It wasn't as sweet as I had expected. In the Glenfarclas line I like the 17 and the 21 year olds. This 17 year old isn't quite up to The Balvenie 17 year old Sherry Oak because I prefer the sweetness of The Balvenie. Again, this is a great Whisky from Glenfarclas.

Real sherry monster! It is so sweet with hints of vanilla, caramel, even toffee and domination of dried fruits. I love it more than any other Glenfarclas, besides 40 years old one :)
