Nose: Bramble fruit jumping out of the glass, some citrus and cinnamon. Freshly baked bread. Spices and a hint of Demerara.
Palate: Very smooth mouthfeel and reassuringly full-bodied. Grapefruit, spices then some lovely natural caramel flavours and toasty malt kick in. The spices keep on going. Gorgeous.
Finish: Er, spicy. And sweet. Good length. Makes the tongue tingle.
Comment: This is no time for false modesty. This is the sixth Clynelish we've done for the Single Malts of Scotland range, and the previous five were all terrific. The sixth is no different. A star.
