Boisterous and spicy - more assertive than the distillery bottlings, but well worth a look for those who don't like their malt too polished. We are very proud that this bottling won the Gold Medal in Whisky Magazine's Independent Bottler's Challenge 2007, taking the top prize in the Island (Non-Islay) Whisky 13-18 yrs category.

Tasting Notes:
Tasting Notes by TF

Nose: Some mellow waxy, creamy aromas to begin.  Dried fruit then pepper.  With time, some pleasant vanilla and heather.

Palate: Unexpected but delicious hazelnut & coffee flavours to add to the elements from the nose. Some dusty and floral notes.  Plenty of spice.

Finish:  Resinous flavours and charming lingering spices

Comment:  More rough around the edges than standard distillery bottlings, and none the worse for it.  A lovable rogue.
