    • Nose

      Rich and full, with golden syrup, Demerara and a hint of treacle. Some caramelised cooked fruit aromas. Reassuringly weighty oak in the background - polished mahogany notes. Hint of cinnamon, over-ripe oranges or orange liqueur and bitter dark chocolate.

    • Palate

      Rich, without being sickly. Amazingly smooth, gentle texture - like being stroked with a silk glove. Chocolate velvetiness on the palate, with the creamy oak spices emerging again (as with the Anejo) alongside some citrus notes to counteract the syrupy sweetness.

    • Finish

      A sweet cocoa caress, with shimmering spices.

    • Comment

      Extremely classy stuff, with each element of flavour crystal clear and yet perfectly integrated.

    • Nose of raisins, molasses, vanilla, caramel and banana; flavors of vanilla and caramel with orange and almond; very balanced, smooth and clean, lingering finish.

    Tried it for the first time and loved it! Great molassaes and maple syrup flavors. As a southern boubon fan this rum fits into my taste profile. Others mention this as learning on rum. I'll have to agree. Also for the price it's a great value for a classy drink - neat.

    I received this rum as a gift for my birthday and I love it. The taste is well balanced and sweet enough. It goes very well with a teaspoon of brown sugar and a slice of orange and lemon. Definitely a must have.
