A superlative dark golden rum from one of Central America's most celebrated producers, Flor de Cana from Nicaragua. Delicious, and one of the best rums anywhere in its price bracket.

My favourite spirit in the world. While the older Flor de Cana options offer smoothness at a premium price i think the 7yr trumps them all with its balance. Given the choice i would choose this one over the others i think, its heaven in a bottle. I was paying $2.00 US in 2004 when i first tasted it, i could not believe it then or now. Great memories of sunsets at Ometepe!

I bought a bottle of the 4 year old which was very nice but, my god! - this is the one. Very, very drinkable and was sad to see the last drop exit the bottle. Next time I will buy a couple of bottles so that I don't run out so quickly. Can anyone reccommend a rum any beter than this for the same price? If not then I have found my new favorite rum.

I don't know what it costs in Spain, but I was getting it for ?3.50 to ?6 (for the really good stuff) in Costa Rica and Nicaragua! Never-the-less, at ?21 over here it's still more than worth it. I actually prefer the 7 year old dark rum nicer than the older models. Lovely.

I think I have tried between 80 and 100 rums around the world and this brand is by far my favourite. Just a shame it isn't cheaper on this site compared to prices in spain

a very smooth and full flavoured rum. do not be put off by the price as you will not be let down. a far superior rum to the tradtional rums on the british market.
