Product Description
A very different animal than the standard Highland Park 25yo, this displays bags of citrus (orange, grapefruit, lemon) on a medium-weight palate. A very interesting dram that makes up in vigour what it lacks in voluptuousness.

Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes by Tim F
Nose
Seems like a 'young' nose for a malt of this age. Medicated shampoo, hedgerow, leafiness, hint of sulphur, some sappy oak, emergent citrus. Honeyed malt in the background.
Palate
Sweet entry; then earthy, sooty, youngish malt appears, with big hint of tropical citrus: Oranges, lemon and a lot of grapefruit. Toasted cereal in the background; a honeyed quality persists.
Finish
Warming, quite long. Becomes astringent, lemony, hot and spicy, with the malt in the background. The citrus slowly fades as a wet-paper oaky character comes through.
Comment
Shows a very differernt side to this distillery than the official 25yo expression. Where the latter is full and rich, this is more of a medium-weight, with a much lighter touch.
