A 24 year old Brora from 1981, bottled in 2006 by Ian Macleod for their Chieftan's range of whiskies. Distilled only a couple of years before the distillery closed down, this spent its life maturing in a cream sherry butt for an interesting mix of flavours.

27, 28YO Broras are respectful for me Corky. I really cannot make my mind on this edition. This is a goody, still there are also better ones.

Sorry oskar but I just can't agree. The Cheftain bottlings of Brora are among my favorites. Smooth, long satisfying after taste; wonderful depth of flavour. I just wish I could afford a few more bottles!

No specific taste - its like somebody poured whisky cordial in some water.

Definitely too young for a Brora.
