Dallas Dhu

Dallas Dhu was founded in 1898 by Alexander Edward, a prominent local distiller, with construction being completed in 1899. The distillery changed hands a couple of times before coming under the wing of the Distiller's Co. Ltd (DCL) in 1929. It was silent from 1929-36 and, following a fire that destroyed the stillhouse, from 1939-47. It was expanded in the 1960s and 1970s, but was another victim of the DCL cull in 1983.

Bottler's Tasting Notes

Nose: With warm bread, warm spices and cocktail cabinet tones.

Palate: Mouthcoatingly spiced, honeyed, malty, still spicy - late citrus.

Finish: Carries orange pith, cloves, vanilla, toffee & spices.
